Sessionat is a tab session manager for Chrome that combines auto-save with AI-powered search. Tab groups are captured automatically as you browse — configurable by time interval, percent change, or manual trigger — and stored locally in chrome.storage so nothing leaves your device unless you opt into AI features. Where Sessionat differs from OneTab, Session Buddy, Toby, and Workona is the AI layer: a built-in chat assistant indexes everything you save and answers questions like "find that React tutorial I read last Tuesday" or "summarize my research on Postgres tuning." Auto-Researcher takes a topic and returns a curated session with the best sources — free uses cost credits granted on signup. Cloud sync is optional. Export/import is documented JSON. PIN protection, dark mode, and crash recovery are all in the free tier.
